My buddy has a 99 manual max stock and he claims that he can easily get his car into low 15's or even high 14's. I am no expert in 4th gen maximas, but that seems a little too optimistic since that is what that 2k2 and 2k3 are running with 65 more ponies. My guess would be high 15s or even low 16s. Could you guys please let me know the average numbers that the 99 manual maxes are running.

well, your mistaken...a properly driven 99 Max 5speed should run low 15s. My friend (max power X) runs a 15.1 with just a drop in K&N filter. Dont sell the maxima short.

Also, AUTOMATIC 2k2s runs highish 14s, 6sps run mid to low 14s...

if you SEARCHED around, you would find most 4th gen maxima 5speeds are in the high 14's and 15's, depending on driver and conditions. You would also find out that 2k2's and 2k3's are running low 14's stock with 6speed.

 

That is one case, I am looking more for average numbers, we have guys who run 14.2s stock, but the average is more like 14.5, still I dont think that running high 14s stock is possible
