Which size do we have up front in our bose systems? Thanks.

I think its a 4" but you can make a bracket and put a 6.5 in there if you want too.

or you can buy the bracket from James on this forum.

Can I just replace the factory speaker with an aftermarket speaker and just use the factory bose amp to power it.

maybe but I think the bose speaker is only 1 ohm and the amps probably would not sound too good with a 4 ohm speaker in its place.

an aftermarket speaker will not really sound any better in there anyway even if it was 1 ohm. Is your speaker messed up or something? I think I have some extra stock speakers I could sell cheap...not sure but would have to check.
