anyone know what wing... ??

I can't remember what wing this is. I've seen it somewhere, but don't remember what it is. I know that when I saw it, it was made for the Maxima. Any help? Thanks...

That guy had no idea two years ago when I asked him. He used to be on here now and again a few years ago... but he ended up selling the car. He bought it from the dealership with that kit and wing. He had no idea what it was... it's the cheapie ABS kit you can get from JCWhitney (most try to say that a kit was never a dealer-installed option but that kit was) but the wing I have no idea about. I've searched for it for over a year off and on with no luck and since I'm looking for a new wing now I thought I'd see if anyone here had any ideas...

Geoff..the closest thing I have seen to that wing is the Roush spoiler on a mustang. It sticks out like a whale tail style and some come with the LED. Check the pics on this link or go to the Roush site.

http://www.fnsweet.com/pics/r_roush/sean/index.shtml

or this universal mid-wing with the same long LED lights..

it's probably just a custom whale tail. I don't like the look.

It looks more like the Roush than anything. If you could see it without the trunk up (I can't find pics but I've seen it before) then you'd see that it doesn't stick up that far. I think it looks great. Anything looks better than the stock POS that comes on the Maxima IMO (including none at all).

I wonder what the Mustang's trunk dimensions are... ??

Well, Michael... sounds like you need to break out the measuring tape. I'd be VERY interested in getting either of those, and I agree with Geoff that ANYTHING would be better than the crappy old POS wing we get with the car now.

OK my I just went to my parents house to measure the trunk on my sisters mustang. It is kinda hard to tell because the trunk is curved but it looks like the wing is about 52" wide. The max is around 53" wide so it could probably fit with a little fiberglass work.

So
mustange spoiler 52"
maxima spoiler 53"

so the mustang spoiler would fit but it would be a little short which might make it look weird. also I believe 94-2003 mustang (not sure)have a built in third brake light on the trunk so the mustang spoiler would not have lights (LED) on the spoiler as a third brake light.

the spoiler in the pictures does have LED's on the spoiler so that leads me to believe it is some type of universal mid wing which usually have a row of LED's as the third brake night.

it is hard to tell how that spoiler fits/looks on the maxima with the trunk up like that. if only someone had pic of the spoiler with the trunk down. also a pic from behind and the side to see how low and out it hangs.

na it wouldnt look weird if you fiberglass it to extend it out to the edge (hence my statement "it would work with a little fiberglassing" lol) but yeah if you just stuck it on there it would look funny. I dont know if it would be worth the trouble though.

I don't think it would be worth the trouble to me. I'll be without a wing for now... maybe eventually I'll find one but I'm not going to wait until I find the right one and have the money to pay for it before I start repainting the car. I would still like to know what wing was on that Maxima...
