auto tranny dilemma

I have a 95SE with a 131k. It was the wife's until recently, and I have put some money into it to get it up to snuff. It had the Throttle position sensor replaced and a recent tran. fluid flush. Anyway, still until it warms up, it doesn't shift up to 2nd until around 3500rpm. It of course seems to shift okay when up to tempature. There is no noise or leaks period. Maybe I should use synthetic ATF instead? Suggestions? BK in South Jersey.

Thanks, I will stop trippin. It is a great car otherwise. Just need to change the CV boots and I have the typical worn timing chain guides.
