Dont have a torque wrench so just tightened it as much as i could with a ratchet and in 6 days its still as tight as before...what is the point of the 30 lbs of torque?

...lol....30 ft/lbs is not that much torque you can do that easy with a ratchet or wrench the idea is not to break the bolt off

The theory is that you fasten til it's pretty tight and then do a 1/4 turn...

If its too tight you might rp the threads off when you corner really hard. If its too lose you might lose a bolt, then lose your ****.

Your not supposed to preload the FSTB. Studies show it sees more pull out from the strut towers then push inward. Preloading it will only push the towers outward even more, not good.

The FSTB should only be seated on neutral with no preload so it braces the towers from movement in any direction.

The 30-35 ft/lb torque spec is for the 3 upper strut mount nuts.
