Hey guys, I am interseted in getting the exedy stage 1 and saw 28 were sold on the last GD yet only a few reviews. I have done searches and have not been impressed, due to the lack of reviews. So i want your guys opinions who have the actual stage one clutch not the ebay ones. How does this clutch feel, and more importantly how does she grab and how does it grab compared to stock. I am running nitrous 50-75 shots and need to know if this clutch will handle it and if its of good quality? I also would like to hear some feedback from some guys that have beat on this clutch a little bit and what they think, don't be shy either i know a couple of you 28 guys have beat on it a little
thanks fellow orgers

Exedy group deal
Not actually a response because I dont have the clutch yet but if you want to jump on a group deal for an EXEDY clutch for a great price go over to the group deal section their is a deal ready to fly. 8 people on a ten person list, dont miss out the ebay clutch is a stock replacement NOT a stage 1.
The Clutch is AWESOME!! Way better than the stock, feels much smoother and feels so nice. It grabs real hard, I can squeal 3rd with my 17's on and new tires. I love it and feel its a great clutch to get. I decided to get the exedy over the act, because I heard a couple instances of the act causing driveline issues. Get the Exedy!, you wont be sorry.

when its my turn to get a clutch i'll get this. ACT i loved but i'm hearing too many complaints about tranny deaths and i dont have the right mileage to take chances. Stock? i rather go exedy which u can drive smoothly and still grab harder than stock.
Hi,
My clutch just went out last week. I need some tips on where to buy a replacement. I heard Exedy is a good kind. I saw a couple on Ebay for ~$110. Is that a good buy? Is that a good kind? I don't think it's a racing clutch, but should be a good stock replacement, right? How much is a stock nissan clutch? Thanks!

Guys, i hear to many of you stating your going with exedy instead of ACT for tranny failure worries. If you think you will kill your tranny with an ACT, chances are you will to with an Exedy. Its the same clutch people. ACT just modifies the pressure plate (3% stiffer). That increased pressure is probably where the chatter of some ACTs come from. I have very minimal chatter in my Exedy. I love it, it grabs 2nd gear like a monster, almost to hard. The clutch pedal feel is quite stiff. Some exedy owners may not think so, but go drive a stock clutched max and you will see the difference is night and day. I used to be able to hold the clutch down while in 1st at a stop light, but it just to annoying now. With my stock clutch, i could release it slightly while stopped and it wouldnt move, with the exedy any movement on the clutch and the tranny will start engaging. The clutch grabs very quickly also, takes about half the travel of the stocker to engage fully.
Now the ONLY reason i got this clutch was to handle nitrous. I tried to run a 50shot on a 80K mile clutch and it fried it. Ive since bumped up to a 75shot and the exedy takes it like a champ. No slipping whatsoever. I would not recommend this clutch for people who arent boosted/nitroused, its just stupid. A stock OEM clutch will handle every single solitary all-motor mod available for the max.
Also, the clutch had NOTHING to do with my recent 1st and 2nd gear troubles.
One more thing, the main reason i bought the Exedy over the ACT is simple, price. I got the Exedy without GD pricing for 280shipped versus more than 320+ for an ACT.
