What are you going to go with now? CAI or SCAI?

Ghetto-CAI.. the silencer.. I guess you're calling it SCAI.

One thing that convinced me was on my service report today when checking the cold idle drop there is a note (aftermarket K&N intake installed). DOH!

We gotta think of a cool name for this intake mod. SCAI is kinda cool. Maybe we can work ooglie into the name somewhere

You guys missed the main part of my naming. 5000, its a big number so it implies performance. Perhaps even a 5000 GTR OSCAI!

OK, how about Type 5000 NisMugenArtSpeed GTR-D OSCAI? I think that hits up all the major aftermarket manufacturers.

What about Mopar and TRD? Maybe we could get Stillen in on this... they could sell $20 worth of parts for say... $450!?

Seriously though... I like Ooglie SCAI. That's what I'll call mine.

GTR-D... see, I didn't forget them (minus the hyphen).

OK, now for the "S" in OSCAI. Stock or silencer?

I don't see Mopar in there!

I say Stock.. since it doesn't really appear to be a "silencer" at all.

But you aren't me. I don't want it so obvious that my car is modded (warranty issues). I feel like the stock airbox leaves more low end torque (which is what I use most anyway).

Sorry to see you have to sell your Popcharger, punkdork . . .

I assume you're selling it because of the detonation it was causing. As you know, I recently installed a Stillen Intake and I've also been experiencing detonation.

It's possible that I may just have gotten a bad tank of gasoline. I've been running Unocal 76 premium. I put some Techron Concentrate in the gas tank and that seems to have helped quite a bit. I'm going to try running a few tankfuls of Chevron premium to see if that makes a difference. If not, it's the SCAI for me!

I don't think mine was causing the detonation. I think having the battery disconnected for ~5 hours while they worked on the transmission reset the ECU and thats where the detonation went.

Also, I saw noted on my maintainence report that an aftermarket K&N intake was documented.

I decided to go ahead and do the OSCAI mod. I figure the sensors on the stock intake must be there for some reason and the car feels like it has more torque with the stock box.

I'm not really upset.
