Dyno results if anyone is interested...

Below is the scanned dyno sheet for my '03. Number are SAE corrected--was 102 degrees in the shop the day of the run. This is my first dyno run with this car. The car has an intake and a timing advance. I'm pretty pleased. 222 HP and 233 TQ

His car is a factory freak or the Injen is a much better intake than the frankencar.

I should mention this dyno is known to read lower outputs then every other dyno in town. I like to think it's a conservative estimate.

Anyone know what I should dyno at the wheels for a 98 5 speed with frankencar, y-pipe, 2 step colder plugs and NX wet kit @75 shot?

you guys got some torquie engines, but your top end sux *****! No wonder maximas always get the jump on me, but I always catch up and pass. On the freeway it's no contest. not too bad for being stock though.

This engine is only in the 2k2-2k3. Maybe you've been racing automatics?!? I have no problem top end with the six speed. I beat my buddy's '02 GT 5 speed until over 120 mph then he eventually passes me once I'm into 5th gear, and that was before the intake and timing advance. *shrug*

Shut up and go ***** up someone else's board. You have no idea what you're talking about. Peaky engines don't make for good top end. Flat torque curves, the right gearing, and aerodynamics make for good top end. Get out of here.

Ok so lets assume from that screen name you have a b16.....and I will also assume..you havea turbo based on the t.......hmmmmmmm...I still wish you luck in racing a 2k3 6speed. No top end....hahhahahah

The more extreme the conditions, the less accurate the SAE correction becomes. And at 102F in the shop, you would have had a very aggressive SAE correction.

If you add some more mods and dyno again at more normal temperatures with less of a correction factor, don't be surprised if you dyno less or have very low "gains"

The actual was 215HP, so it wasn't that aggressive. It still pulled the same SAE ratings as a club members' 350Z.

Edited.

t56gen3 -

Really nice numbers. I guess I hadn't noticed until I dynoed mine this past weekend. How did you get the file down to a size that could fit in your post? Did the dyno shop send you one directly because I have scanned mine 10 times and 10 different ways but it is still too big.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I'm not sure whether or not you mean file size or page size, but it was scanned and saved as a .jpg and then resized in PhotoShop.

I don't have Photoshop but thanks for the help anyway. I finally got it down to a size that I could attach.

great numbers bro- got me wondering what my #'s would've been if I wasn't 800 miles over due for an oil change/fuel injector service in my runs-

Did you remove your UR pulley for these runs?

Wondering why your first run wasn't right behind your last two-

SHIFT_Drive it like you stole it...

02 Max 6MT - Franken Intake/ Budget 2.5" b pipe
Dyno 220.2 whp/ 231.7 wtq

Those runs were before the pulley and exhaust. I only had the intake at the time. The dip on the first run is where the ECU decided to drop a cylinder on the pull. The first two were back to back, the 3rd was about 15 mins after so the motor cooled off a bit. The shop temp was still 102 degrees though. I need a cool air dyno now. :-)
