suspension noise

My drivers side front suspension is making a loud poping noise when I accelerate from a stop. So far I have replaced a sticking brake caliper and a bad wheel bearing also on the drivers side. My Max is lowered on eibachs and konis and I am running energy suspension from control arm bushings. I recently took a look at the control arm bushings and noticed that one of the bushings has popped out and up so that I can see the metal rod that goes through the control arm. At the moment I think this is the cause of the poping/knocking noise that I keep hearing. I'm ordering a new set of bushings but wanted to see if anyone here has had this problem or if anyone knows anything else that could be causing this. Thanks in advance for any help.

Did you make sure to install the bushings identically to how the stock ones were installed? Maybe you put them in backwards by mistake. It's important that the cut side of the bushings go on the same side as the stock ones were that you took out. Did you torque the bracket bolts to 40 ft/lbs or so also?

You might also want to look at the motor mounts. I had a popping noise in my '95 every time I started off or shifted gears. It sounded like a C/V joint, but upon closer inspection, I found that the passenger side upper mount was the culprit. Just something to consider..

how about when you turn the wheel any pop, or only on acceleration?

There are not cuts on the control are bushings. They are round. I think you are talking about the sway bar.

I considered this but there is no noise when I shift out of Park or Neutral. Also wouldn't there be engine vibration if a mount is busted. Anyway, What should I look for as signs of a busted mount?

No noise when I turn, only when I accelerate after pressing the brake.

If anyone has any ideas, i would appreaciate it. I don't want to take my suspension apart and not solve this problem.
