Re: brakes

I think I'm gonna need to change my brakes sometime this summer. I have 43k on the car. I'm probably going to go with Raybestos Quietstop. I've heard good things about them. They should have them at Autozone or Advance.

Brake change at 30K? Uless your really hard on them they should be ok. Sometimes if you are a habitual hard braker, your rotors get "glazed" and tend to squeak when you brake (my wifes car has this problem, not sure why" have them checked for thickness and if they do indeed need to be changes you can do them yourself if you are an ok mechanic. Pop the wheel off, take off the caliper, take out the old pads and put in the new pads. It's not that difficult if you have general mechanical knowledge. Good luck
