This is driving me nuts!!! It took like 20 minutes to get on and then post this!!This warning page keeps comming up everytime, then when it does not come up it takes like 5 minutes to load the page. This reminds me of before when the old maxima.org closed down for like a month. Is any one else getting this probleam?? Whens it going to be fixed? And what is causing the problem? Thanks

about every other time I try to get on

I get errors and the pages won't load. I think somebody said that the amount of users is overloading the software but I am not sure.

Yeah I get SQL errors all the time.
I have T3 at work, but still, it takes forever to load one page...weird.

Been this bad since I got on in Oct. I have suspected that there must also be a **** site on this server eating up resources.

Most of the time...

The error you get will be because I, another moderator, or an individual deleting or moving a thread. I think the database decides to close down other activity while that's happening, and thus the error message comes up.

The site itself seems to be pretty quick for me. When I request a page here on my DSL line, it's pretty responsive. The server is in Seattle and I'm in Alabama so there's no proximity advantage for me. We're only on a server with 7 other sites, so that shouldn't be the issue.

I may be moving us to another server type here soon, so that may help out a lot. This new package does a better job of segmenting resources -- kinda like using hot water in a condo complex vs. a dormatory. We'd get our own "hot water" vs having to share with everyone else on our server, and the resource usage would be better.

However, besides going to a dedicated server, which we can't afford right now, this is as good as it gets.

Why can't we go to a dedicated server, Jamie? You may not be able to afford it personally, but we as a group may be able to afford it.

Give us the bottom line and let us determine what's possible.
