How to tell if your air-bags were set off PRIOR to purchasing car ? ? ?
Hey,
I'm wondering if there is a way to tell if my air-bags have been deployed already???
If they have I want to use the space on the passenger dash for a computer.
But if it's still in there, I'd rather leave that area alone.

p.s. Maxine is a 95GXE, I've been with her for 1.5 years.

Try looking for a big bulge. (in the compartment, not your pants.) If it was set off previously and someone tried to hide it/did a bad job replacing the airbags, it will be left with a bulge in the airbag compartment (mainly visible on passenger side/dash). I had this happened when i first bought my 97.

10mph impact in to a concrete wall. If nothing happens you don't have bags. If the bags come out.. Well, problem solved. You no longer have bags. =P
