How fast are late-model Supras, non turbo? Tried to run one..........

I was about to pull out on a main 4-lane tonight when this newer Supra ('97?) comes flyin by...had a big polished can and chromed factory rims. Couple of "backwards hatters" in it
I caught up to him "thisquick" and tried to play...I never heard any sign of a turbo, and he wouldn't go, so I'm assuming it was n/a. Aren't those just a 220hp 3.0?

Well I think they are 222hp,but you should be able to take that one for sure.

even though it has less HP, its still rwd....from a stop it might still take you, on the twisties it will own you, but from a roll its a different story though

What year though?
I've driven some older 300ZXs that were doggy, but IIRC the '90 & up 300 n/a would beat the previous Turbo, so not THAT slow...

All i know..if you slap on a Two T04s HKS ball bearing turbo kit on that bad boy (including all the electronics and stuff)...man! you got yourself an offical viper killer man!!!

yes even the 90 and up 300zx n/a was a dog. Around 3400lbs and 222hp 198 tq = SLOW
