shocks hit too hard on bumps

i have 95 max and i have koni yellow adjustables with intrax springs(1.9" drop)...when i ride over bumps they hit way too hard, and the springs are clapping based on the abrasions i see on the springs...i was wondering if springs are the problem or the shocks, but i hear the shocks are really good so i think maybe the springs needa be changed. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Turn your shocks to 3 half turns front and rear. It should feel very nice.
