Reinstalling my Frankencar - Quick Question

I took it out to clean, so, now I am gonna reinstall it, but, are there any benefits/drawbacks to leaving the stock accordian piece in instead of using the supplied couplers?

Thanks in advance.

the accordian piece would give the unit more freedom of movement if you use the supplied support bracket.
personally i do not use the support bracket, i just use the couplers and hose clamps to hold the intake in place. with the new hose clamps especially the intake is very stable, but if you use the support bracket you could use the accordian piece from the throttle body to the midpipe. your choice. thanks.
