Where do I find the EGR valve on a 2k?

I'm getting P400 from the SES light. According to the Haynes manual, that means: "EGR insufficient or excessive flow detected". Does anyone know where I can find this thing? The manual says behind the engine on the right side but I can't seem to find it.

Thanks.

Normally one end screws into top of engine and other end connects to a hose.

the egr is electronic on a 00 max and is located i believe under the trottle body to rear of engine.. its black and looks like a cylinder. i think there's a sleel tube that runs to it and that tube gets clogged. how many miles do you have?its usually a problem over say 100 k.

64k miles now. Man... I don't wanna take the air filter assembly again... I just cleaned the throttle body two weeks a few weeks ago.

So does that error mean EGR valve definitely or could it be something else?
