On my 2k2, when I hand wash in the driveway, I use wheel cleaner sprayed all over the wheel (and rotor in the process) and then scrub and dress the and tires when finished washing.

?: Afterwards, I back out of the garage and hear a slight "THUMP THUMP" in a regular pattern as I back out and then brake. It eventually goes away with driving, but it worried me nontheless. I'm figuring that the slippery wheel cleaner gets in there and has to dry off while driving. Anyways, anyone else ever heard this?

Same thing happens to me every once in awhile, but its nothing to worry about.

I would suggest to just use soap and water on your rims. I really don't trust the chemicals in wheel cleaner. It works for me.

 

Yeah, I think I'll spray the wheel cleaner (if I use it) directly to the rag too and not all over the rotor and everything else behind the wheel!
