Steering Wheel Off Center?

I just noticed that my steering wheel is slightly aligned to the left when the car is on a FLAT road with no road crown while going straight. I didn't notice it as much when I test drove it with snow tires on.

I've had alignments done on my old car so I am not exactly new to this. However, when I took it in to get it aligned, they never centered the steering wheel, so it would be tilted to one side a bit.

My Max has never been curbed. Had it checked by a licensed mechanic and they didn't find anything wrong with the steering system.

My question is, can I get the steering wheel centered with an alignment though? I recently purchased a set of Yoko's for the summer, which basically allowed me to see the off center steering wheel more than when I had the Michelin snowys on.

At this point, I've yet to own a car with a centered steering wheel. I'm driving crooked damnit

When your steering wheel is cocked to one side or the other its usually a sign of your "toe" being off. Does it pull at all?! Go back and get it re-aligned...

Just curious, but how often would one need to realign a car? I had my aligned around Feb and it's tilting a bit more now. I always attributed it to my semi-aggressive driving, but I don't recall hearing people needing a new alignment often (not that it's my case, but if I were a perfectionist it probably would).

Oddly, though, I don't mind a little tilt. Since I tend to drive lefty, I prefer a little left tilt, just feels more comfortable. Or it could be I just got used to it that way.

if you let go of the wheel on a flat surface, would the car pull to one side? maybe your wheel balancing is off?

pull off the horn cover, remove the big bolt in the center, pull wheel, adjust, push down, tighten bolt, replace cover, drive. that is unless your car pulls.

That drove me crazy when my car was brand-spanking new. The Nissan emblem was slightly off to the left. Nissan printed out the alignment specs and told me "it was normal." ARRRRRRGH!!! After 3 alignments under the 12k warranty I somehow just learned to live with it. What can I say? The dude printed out a sheet of paper and the specs were fine. He told me don't go by the emblem on the steering wheel, that's not how they align the car.

The more I think about cars, the more I think the 350Z even at list is tremendous bang-for-buck. But imagine all the BS you have to put up with the max and service, you have to do with the Z as well. Nissan dealers are not too service oriented
