Steering wheel squeak

Is the any way to oil /grease the steering wheel? Mine squeaks as it lowers into position when I get in the car.

Thanks!

You can try adding a bit of grease to the tilt "screw" linkage and if lucky, this may help. Generally, this is a portent of an impending tilt and/or telescoping motor.

Hopefully, you are still under warranty and can get this replaced soonest!

Long out of warranty unfortunately. Where would I access that linkage? Have a 2010. Can I pull the cover off behind the steering wheel somehow?

tilt grease

i would check the fsm (factory service manual ) which can be found on this site for your specific year and see how many screws you would need to take off the covers to get to the tilt area
