Very disappointed time at track

I have a 96 gxe auto with pulley, intake, y pipe. I went to the track and my best time was a lousy 15.7 at 88mph with 2.48 short times. Shouldn't I be running quicker and with a better mph?

What was the temperature when you ran? Warmer temperatures and higher humidity can hurt your times.

It was like 85 degrees. I launched at 1200 rpm using the ebrake.

You're not going to run well if it was 85F out, especially if there was humidity as well. Considering your 60' time, that's honestly not a bad time given conditions. If you improved your launch to a 2.40 that would have been about a 15.5 @ 88. In better weather you should be able to get into the low-15's at maybe 90 mph.

i think it's too hard to compare times with other people on the org. i think the only way is to compare with some maximas at the same track, that ran in the same conditions u ran.

btw, i have a 99 auto stock, and i ran 15.77@87.3mph with a 2.426 60'last sunday...so u should be alot quicker than i am
