is this website overloaded or something? Or is it my connection. I keep getting the following:

No recipient addresses found in header HTTP/1.1 200 OK Date: Sat, 03 Feb 2001 00:30:06 GMT Server:
Apache/1.3.1.1 SSL/1.15 PHP/4.0b2 Connection: close Content-Type: text/html
Warning: Can't connect to local MySQL server (61) in admin/db_mysql.phtml on line 31

There seems to have been a slight problem with the database. Please try again by pressing the refresh button
in your browser.

An E-Mail has been dispatched to our Technical Staff, who you can also contact if the problem persists.

We apologise for any inconvenience.

ye i kno its free but it gets rediculous at times... i mean just now to get to the post reply page i had to reload 10 times... i mean i am willing to pay a small fee like he proposed... he gets some $$ from advertisements too... i think if we/he advertise this site more and get more sponsers than there will be enough $$ to move this to a much better server that can handle the bandwidth... JAMBO PLEASE DO SOMETHING... if u need help just ASK ME! btw... how much is it to have a banner on this site?

I have access to Microsoft software at about 10 cents on the dollar sooo if he needs it to set up his own server with like real SQL or whatever I can get the hookup.

Yep, go from Unix based software to Winblows. that will really help things out.

Jimbo knows what's up. Send him a blank check and you'll see the problems go away. Give the man some time.

Re: Microsuck!

I sincerely hope that there was some sarcasm in that post ... man i can't think that moving from Free BSD to Micro$oft would make things better !!!!
Also to think that we can move to micro$$oft becoz we are on a tight budget is hilarious !!

BTW, I never have problems accessing -- i do it at 1 or 2 am

Seriously - we need to move over ... Jambo - holler for help

Hehe whoa.. shot down and not even a blaze of glory. Yeah Microsoft costs more than free software.. imagine that. I was just saying I gots a discount but fine I'll take my bal and go home. Just seems this site isn't exactly stable and seems to be the database. I'm not really a web developer or a unix guru so I guess I'll go play solitare.

Yup. The content is fantastic. But the delivery SUCKS BIG TIME! And why Jamie refuses to let us know what it would take to fix the database problem is simply beyond me. It ain't like we're not willing to pitch in.

I don't think it's a matter of whether or not we're getting along, punkdork. I think it's a matter of simple frustration. Is there anyone out there that visits this forum with regularity who isn't frustrated by the response of the server and Jamie's apparent unwillingness to let us help him fix the problem?
