What's the purpose/benefit of yellow lights?

I thought the craze was for the whitish/bluish/purplish lites ... is there a performance enhancement?

in the mean time im using stock bulbs that came with the car... i want more brighter bulbs... im gonna go to autozone and get 100watt bulbs... dont worry they wont burn my harness... my friend got the 100watt bulbs in his diamante for like 2 months already and nothing is burned.. he just said that the wire that is connected to the bulb (the white one) is a little brown, but they all get brown after a while.. this one just got brown a little faster... basically it probably means that its gonna burn out faster... but for like $4 a bulb its not a big investment... im gonna go do the painting and installing my neons in a little bit... i cant wait... i gotta go wake up my friend to help me... hehe... ill post pics of it when im done

Could you post what bulbs you used or how you modified them to make them yellow? I'm very interested in making this mod.

Thanks

Listen to what you're saying. If his harness turned brown that fast, don't you think they'll melt in due time? Our fog lamps don't have that much volume, so they're going to get really hot in there. Just a warning, but it's your choice.

Ye Kev I know what u saying... but these bulbs are like $7 or $8 a pair... so i was thinking i can try it out and see if they work or if they will burn prematurly... its not that much $$ to test... i have to find brighter bulbs and im not gonna buy piaas cause they are like $60 a pair so if they will burn quick i will be really really pissed!! i dont think the harness and stuff like that will melt... if anything it will be the bulb itself burning out or that wire might get damaged a little but otherwise i dunno i just gotta think what i wanna do... about the install, i didnt do anything for it... it was my friend who did it and he does not wanna tell me how he did it... i think he will start selling these things... im not sure of the price but all i know is it took me like 2 months of begging him to finally do mine... and all i did was take them off bring them to his house and left them there and i picked them up a few days later and installed them and i was happy with the install...
