14.4 on N2O

Went to Lebanon Valley in NY yesterday. Best run gave me
r/t .577
60 2.252
330 6.158
1/8 9.373
mph 78.39
1000 12.137
1/4 14.494
mph 95.52

This was with full interior, 25 psi front, 31psi back, 1/4 tank of 94 octane, hybrid, y-pipe, STS, Dunlop A2s, 50 shot, 2 step colder plugs. I launched off idle and sprayed from the hole.

both are pretty low, but what were the conditions of the weather? Hot humid weather can seriously affect times. Also, you don't need two step colder plugs with only a 50 shot, it will hurt your power. Your mph seems to drop off too, when I run 77-78 mph in the 1/8th mile my car runs 96-98 mph in the 1/4 mile, and I just have a N/A automatic. You should pick up more speed than that with the nitrous. Have you had it dyno tuned? Your A/F ratio could be off too. Just some thoughts.

seems like your car is only pulling 17mph in the last 1/8 which isn't that great.

The times and trap are a bit low. I would have it dyno tested to make sure you're getting peak hp with the nitrous. Is yours a 5 speed?

Yes I have a 5 speed. Do you think my time is low because I launch of idle and dont rev to about 1500-3000k to launch?

I would dyno your car all motor also. 15.4 @ 90 seems really low for your mods and a 5 spd...

no a 2.2 60' isn't bad at all. Your car seems too be suffering top end a lot. A 17 mph gain in the last 1/8 mile shows that. Normal gains are 18-21 mph in the last 1/8. Most 5 spds seem to gain at least 19.

15.4 was when I only had an intake and bad tires in cold weather. I didnt use optimum shift points and I wasnt a good 5 speed driver. I have learned a lot after that day. However I am going soon to dyno, but should I dyno with the 50 shot or 75?

dyno and tune with what you plan on using street/strip.

Which brand did you get?

If it's one of Cattmans' latest, I wouldn't suspect it, but if it's anyone elses, I'd take a look.

Its a budget y-pipe. Never heard of them having flex section problems.

Don't know...but if they use the old 'mesh' style vs. the 'accordian', I'd suspect it.
