Fuel injector cleaner
Fuel injector cleaner
Hey everyone, a friend of mine at a toyota dealership has this stuff made by 3M for cleanin the fuel system. It has one can that you pour in the gas tank for the injectors and another can with a hose that hooks up to the intake, which cleans the TB, intake and valves. Anyone use or heard of this stuff? It pretty expensive.

I've used the BG 44k also and it imporved my gas mileage. I was getting about 280 miles to the tank. Every since I've used the cleaner I've been getting about 330 miles to the tank.
Re: Re: Fuel injector cleaner
fuel injector cleaner won't clean the insides of the intake manifold because the cleaner in injected into the heads.

Your best bet is to use a fuel system cleaner with techroline. Nissan makes a brand which I think was mentioned above, and Chevron (blue bottle) makes a cleaner. Chevron is actually the company who made this product.

I've heard the Toyota cleaners are top quality. I've had co-workers who use to work at a Toyota dealer and still have a few Toyota injector/manifold cleaner kits in their tool box and their holding onto them for their cars and nothing else. Even though where we were working we had fuel injection kits readily available.
I've used kits that suck the mixture into the intake manifold without no problem. I've used it on my VE and many other make/models with no problem. It a 3 step process that includes a concentrated mixture for the fuel tank, spary for the TB and another mixture that sucked into the intake manifold. But to be honest I've never seen these kits in the stores only available for the pros.
