The most incredible wheel cleaner EVER
If this has been posted then I apologize as I do not keep up with this forum. A friend recommended Greased Lightning's Orange Blast wheel cleaner so I went and bought some at Wal-Mart. It is specially designed for wheels and has a picture of a wheel/tire on the bottle. It was under $3 and is the most incredible wheel cleaner I have ever used. My wheels were covered in brake dust and this got almost everything off with NO scrubbing of any kind. I was completely shocked at how well it worked. I have tried other cleaners in the past but nothing has worked. So anyway I would highly recommend giving this a try, you won't regret it.
put some paste wax on the wheels to make it easier to wipe off brake dust in the future.
I need to get some of the meguires orange citrus, I hear it works wonders on all sorts of greasy things.

On the bottle it lists all of the finishes it is good for and I think everthing is covered. It does list chrome and polished as well as wire, mag, and clear coated plastic.
Eagle One A2Z All Wheel Cleaner works well for me . I've tryed over 8 different wheel cleaners and they all don't work that good as eagle one .......it's a little more expensive than most of the other wheel cleners i've seen
I also managed to find this stuff, purely by accident.
It was cheaper and bigger than EO A2Z, so I bought one to give it a shot.
WOW, was I impressed! I'm normally an Eagle One A2Z devotee, and usually compare all the wheel cleaners I try to that as a yardstick - basically I see how much weaker it is compared to it.
Not so this time with Orange Blast wheel cleaner. I was astonished at how effectively it got rid of the brake dust. My litte wheel brush was ready to go as usual when I test out new cleaners so that I'm ready for the disappointment, but it was left high and dry this time!
I even did a side by side test between them and both sides were identically clean after rinsing. Used according to directions, this stuff is every bit as effective as A2Z in my opinion.
Differences: Orange Blast is acidic based (it even tells you it contains oxalic acid), rather than basic like the reforumlated EO A2Z. Don't let this worry you though, since many other wheel cleaners, like Mothers and both Meguiar's products, are also acidic. Instructions for usage are similar (of course!) but dwell time of Orange Blast is 1 minute (up to 2 minutes for heavy soiling) versus the 30 seconds of A2Z. This isn't a bad thing really, especially if you have to do any scrubbing which could take a little while. The actions of these 2 products' cleaning is different too. A2Z makes the brake dust run off in dark streams of gunk. Acidic cleaners seem like they almost transform the brake dust as you see it more or less simply vanish, but the result is the same.
Caveat: I don't know how safe this product is in the long-run, but I've yet to see any damage from proper use of any wheel cleaners, so I'm personally not worried.
The last wheel cleaner I tried that seemed closest to A2Z was Meguiar's Hot Rims, but it's kinda pricey. This product is not only cheaper, but you get more. EO A2Z is 26 oz (768mL) and goes for $7.50 Cdn (discounted), while Orange Blast is 32 oz (946mL) but priced at $5.99 Cdn. I rushed back to the store and snatched up 4 more because they only had it as a "special buy".

someone noted that putting a way on the rim makes it easier. i havent tried wax but "turtlewax tirewax" is a tire shine that i put on everything (rims, tires, exterior rubber i.e. mirror moldings) it lasts forever and is not watery and oily like most tire shine.
Orange Blast is beautiful. When i bought my max, it seemd like SE spokes where never cleaned. I tried so many wheel cleaners, and nothing worked even close to Orange Blast. If you have nasty rims with a lot of braking dust, its perfect for u. I bought it in K-Mart.
ok i just washed my car and used this wheel cleaner i also bought it at wal mart and it cost like 3 dollars well it works very very good. i didnt wash my wheels for like 2 month and i when i used this, it worked great no rubbing and it looked brand new. well just want to share
