need some help

most of you guys probably know some of this info but i'm just posting this because i'm copying and pasting from other places i've posted.

i swapped a jdm vg30et into my maxima. for a while it was getting a lot of fuel due to the fpr i had being installed wrong. i could get it started but i had to flutter the gas to do so. once i got it around 2000 rpm i could eventually get it to about 3000-3500 rpm or so but it took forever and sounded like it had a hard time running. since then i made absolutely sure the timing is correct and i fixed the fpr problem. now i'm still having the same trouble with it not being able to rev very high. when i changed the timing belt a while back i notice the cams weren't quite lined up with there dots on the case so i fixed whichever cam it was that was off. i put the timing belt on and it lined up fine with the marks on the belt. i'm thinking maybe valve timing is off due to me moving the cam ever so slighty but i'm not sure. i tried starting it today after fixing the fpr and i could get it up to 2000 rpm but it just doesn't want to run. it will idle at a little over 1000 rpm but then die off unless i mess with the throttle a little bit. while running if i keep it at 1500 rpm it will sometimes run extremely smooth and go up to 2000 rpm but then starts to have a hard time running after that. (by having a hard time running i mean it just wants to stay in one place on not rev any more. it sounds restricted and doesn't sound like it is making any power)

here's some info on what i'm doing.
i swapped the jdm vg30et into my maxima. i'm using all maxima sensors, ecu, and distributer. i'm using an apexi s-afc to correct the fuel curve. i have the stock injectors that came with the engine but i'm using a walbro 255 lph high pressure fuel pump. i relocated the turbo to a custom crossover pipe due to space restrictions. i have an aeromotive fpr (because i thought i would need it since i was using the maxima's ecu).

if anyone has any ideas at all that would great! i've been working on this since march and have recently finally been able to attempt to run it but have ran into this problem.

i'm an idiot. i forgot one major point that makes me think valve timing or a valve sticking. my brother said he felt air coming out of the intake. (intake as in, all of the way from the engine through the turbo to the maf) definately not good.

Was the original engine running with the new fuel pump? I'm asking b/c its possible to incorectly wire in the new FP.

you mean air is going the other way? (air coming out of intake instead of in)
u sure you hooked up the turbo plumbing right?

i put in the fuel pump after the swap.

yeah, my brother said he felt air coming out backwards.
lol i know i have the turbo on correctly but i think one of the cams have to be off letting a valve be barely open and letting air back through the intake when then engine fires.

hmmm...how can that happen..if your car is acclerating (turbo spooling) how can it push air BACK the reverse direction? maybe turbo leak? boost leak? seems very very odd.

i can't get the rpm's high enough to really get it spooling. i'm sure the air going back through the intake isn't helping the spooling either. i'll pull of the valve cover of the front cyllinder bank and see if there is any bad timing. (i'll at least try. not really sure what to do but i have a good idea)
