electrical problems!!! HELP!!!

where to start?ok 1st thing my door lights are not working correctly.i have checked the connections and fuses and all seems to be good.2nd my little clock wont work,i bought a new one but it does not seem to light up too.but the biggest problem i have been having recently is getting the car started.it just happens out of the blue,i go to a movie or something and try to start and it wont,it sounds like its a relay not letting the charge get to the starter.so i took out the starter had it tested and its good,so then i check both ignition relays and they seem to be good.so has anyone had these problems too or have any advice to offer to help remedy these problems i am having? other than that everything works great.lucky for me its a five speed,i can push start if i have to.

I have the same starting problem but regarding the door lights. You have obviously checked the bulbs and connections, try and remove the push switch which is pushed in when the doors are closed. Use a DMM to see if the switch is actually working.
As far as the starting goes Im leaning towards the Starter inhibitor circuit alone, or maby part of the botched electrical on the Anti-theft circuitry which was done on my car before I bought it. Im referring to a 1990 A/t maxima, I will post a solution as soon as I am able.

I had no lights on my climate control console for a while. Finally I did some research and asked the .orgers and the 4-DSC forum for some help. It turned out to be the Timing Control Unit (TCU). It had some bad (fried) solder connections. Got another TCU from a junkyard and has been working like a champ since.

The TCU is under the driver side dash. It is a small rectangular white box. Hope this helps.

i found out the problem to the starter.it was the bendex, when i had it tested it worked but it does not have anything to really push when you have it tested being its out of the car.so when i got a new starter and put it in it started right up.although it is starting to do what it did before, when i turn the key to start there seems to be a stutter or something,it doesnt start for a second or to so im looking into to that now.but i havent had my maxi for over a month now,ive put in a new clutch and i am still having tranny probs.
