am i being ripped off??

so i was driving down the road and out of no where i hear a crunch, i am like, whatever. get home and and notice my right fog light is missing, so i put 2 and 2 together i assume that was the crunch. i go to that spot and sure enough my foglight just fell out right under my tire, and i ran it over. so i call my dealer up. service dept. is busy so i talk to sales, and my car is under a full bumper to bumper warranty and the guy in sales tells me that he doesnt think that service will cover it. shouldnt they?

Read your warranty booklet and get back to us. I for one don't think it's covered but maybe it is.

Well, assuming that he has never touched the foglight at all, I htink they should cover it.

In that case, it's the same thing as if your door or headlight fell out while driving.

if you've ever changed the bulb or otherwise played with the fogs - then no dice.

If you have pictures (proof) that the fog light fell out because of their negligence and nothing to do with you (i.e. broken bracket or housing) you might have a case.

It would depend on why the foglight fell out... I'm not familiar with what is holding it in place but I would get some tabs or something. Is the tab cracked/broken? If so, and you never messed with it (stock light, never opened) then it should be replaced under the warranty...

well, the fog lights have not been touched, but the metal bracket that held the light in had no screw in it, and was never being held by the bracket, the light was being held in by velcrow. and while i was driving, it just... popped out and broke. i didnt loose it.

how much is a new fog light anyways? oem ofcourse

Whoa, I'm really surprised that the 4th Gen OEM fog light is soo pricey compared to the 5th Gen. Click here for price. If you're lucky, you can get one from Ebay or junk yard like car-part.com.
