Help, cat bolt cracked in half. look at pictures

Bolt cracked

bolt crack and stuck

Check out this pictures. How am I going to get this bolt out with a tight space to work with. I am thinking of going to the front of the cat and taking the whole thing down to work on.

How good is your drilling skills. If you can get a drill up there, drill it out. A left handed drill bit would be that much better

torch that bad boy off. Do you have another bolt to replace it with?

If you are going to drill it out, which is probably the best solution, I would go ahead and take the exhaust down so it'll be easier to work on.

I'd go ahead and remove the other bolt (use impact wrench) and also the front bolts and take it right off the car.

You might be able to get some vise grips on the remaining piece of bolt in order to get it out. If not, you can drill and easy out or bring it to a shop where they can heat it up and remove it.

Check the condition of the front bracket/hanger also. If it's rusty, I'd replace it before it breaks and ruins you're front pipe (flexible part)due to excessive weight/movement.
