What could this be???

I need to know if I should be concerened or not. Whenever my Max is sitting in the garage idiling (like when I start it up). I can hear a very low frequency poping coming from my exhaust. It happens about every 5 seconds or so and the idle drops slightly everytime it happens. Is there something wrong with my exhaust or should I not worry about it? Only reason I'm asking is because my car is still acting up every now and agian and I don't know what is causing it. I was thinking that it might be a clogged cat or something.

According to the FSM, you may have an intake or vacumn leak somewhere. When was the last time you inspected and/or changed your vacumn hoses? I had a similar problem with my VG engine. After I replaced a couple of cracked, black vacumn hoses with clear, hoses (just for looks), my stuttering went away. However, that is just a stab in the dark.

I know, I know. I have a tendacy to
