how do you keep the door moldings from aging or fading?!?

ok i brought the car into the body shop to get my dents fixed and in the process of doing so, they remove the thing piece of door trim (along the door handles) and they took off the door moldings to repaint both driver and passenger door. after the doors were painted they put on brand new moldings , is there any way to prevent the new moldings from aging or fading in color? i want them to look and stay new. any suggestions would be helpful

as long as they used good paint and preped them well they should hold up for a while, but just keep them waxed and clean

The sun is the enemy. Keeping your car parked in the shade or in a garage would help.

I personally like the no molding look.
