You powerbraking that thing on a regular basis or something? Mine is auto too, 3 1/2 yrs old and feels good as the day it came off the lot (knock on wood).

I dont even think breaktorquing would put him at a 2nd tranny let alone 4th. He must be doing neutral drops, manual shifting and have a really really heavy foot. I mean redline every gear there is all day long.
That is the only thing that I cant think of, unless he has a real bad luck

The TCM just got replaced and could have been causing problems.

After 1 1/2 hour rests the reverse gear moves the car at only about 17-1800 rpm (no pressure?). There is a delay/slip between 2nd and 3rd under full throttle. The tranny shifts when the car is fully warm hard as $hit, like 75% as bad as the resistor. CV joints problably love it. This third tranny was a POS from day one with MAJOR slipping from 1st to second, like an increase of 1000rpm between shifts.

Have you been getting warranties on the new trannies or are you paying out the **** each time?

Nissan gave me a 100k warranty for all the hassle. I have 20k to go!
