Today was very eventful, I went to Nic's (Z) house and we decided to do a mesh grille, and fix up where my bumper had a huge scrape on it.
This all took about 3 hrs. And well worth it,

-Here I was cutting out the middle piece of the GXE grille

-This is where we were inserting the mesh into the frame of the grille

-Painting it...

-Holding it in place

-Painting hood

What brand of paint did you use and any preparation for the grille/bumper? I have a major spot on my bumper (seen in my sig pic link) that needs to be fixed and I've been wanting to mesh my grille. Your's definitely looks nice and deserves major props.

Don't mind chris, he does not understand that you may or may not sell the car and that it made you feel better about the car to paint it and make it look pretty

Wow, can't believe you spray painted the whole bumper and hood! How'd it come out - like how does it look in real life? What kinda prep did you do? How long did it take? How many cans did you go through?

Since this thread was brought back...

How's the paint so far after these few months? Any chips or anything yet?

I dont specifically remember the grit. We went from kinda rough....to very fine.

NYC: I sold my car, but I see it every now and then...paint and grille still look as good as the day I did it. No chips. 3½ months and still good.
