I brought back my car to the trans shop because it was slipping at 25mph and no overdrive. I have a 92 se auto. The shop owner told me that the tps sensor was off causing the trans to slip because the tps was sending the wrong signal to the ecu.

I know that the tps sends singnal to the ecu, but never heard of the tps misadjustment would cause the trans to slip and overdrive not to work.

any advice?
