Do I need more power or what?
Do you guys hit the gas all the way down when you "race"?
My friend raced his civic and got 17.4 sec. How do I get my car that fast? It is a rocket.

for real...i go to the burnout box, wheelhop like a **** and line up on the start line. i proceed to stall out 8 times until I get halfway down the track and decide to get out and look at my engine. Turns out my intake midpipe fell off from the wheelhop in the burnout box. That sucked. Put it back together and drove off. I thought I broke something big but no problem, all fixed now. Must have been the slowest COMPLETED 1/4 mile in history.

haha i love it. I ran a 25-28second 1/4 as my first pass of the day one time. everyone laughed at my "stock" maxima on the next run, 13.0

if i even begin to wheelhop(rare) or anything is not perfect in a run, im shuttin it down.

glad to hear your car was ok, and yes, i do think you should win some kind of award!

what trap speed? lol, i was ~30mph.. i gotta find that slip!

oh and if you are on regular tires, i wouldnt suggest burning out before running.. maybe just one to two rotations of the tires if anything. I dont even bother spinning street tires at all, and run consistent 2.1 60's

yeah i didnt even bother to get the slip...im pretty sure they shut it down before i crossed. i prolly crossed at 30mph too. hehe. i was just trying to get the water off my wheels that they make you ride through. yeah i dont think burnouts do anything for street tires either.

If you seriously cant get around the water at that track don't go back. There's no way to get all the water off your tires/wheel wells before running so I guarantee your tires are still wet. No use racing.

Its the same track that VQdriver(Rudy) hit 14.05 at.

So I dont think hes lining up to the line with water on his tires and hitting 2.1s..and that one 2.0xx he's got.

ill have to ask him what he does. but there is DEFINITELY no way around the water. sometimes it is less wet than other times.

sometimes the tires are wet sometimes they're not. a few times i've spum em clean, no difference at all. just don't drive through a huge puddle.
