WTF? Anyways, what are the symptoms of a bad hood latch? I dont think that it is because it seems to be getting hung up on something, but anyone had their's go out on them?

they do tend to get rusty and stuff... how is it not closing? it'll go all the way down, but the latch won't lock, or do you have something stuck in there? (screwdriver, bolt, etc?)

it seems like i have something stuck on the driver's side, but there is nothing there. I took of my FSTB and my battery is still out.

It will go all the way down, but it seems to be kinda "flexing" in the middle like it's caught on the engine, but I'm sure it isn't. I stuck duct tape on various parts of the engine bay so that if it caught, I'd know where it was hitting, but none of it stuck.

damn man, that really blows.. all that work and you cant even shut the hood. im sure you have already checked a million times over.. but make sure you dont have a socket or bolt or anything in the track that runs along the top of the fender.. its almost too easy to put things in there. good luck man

just try to take your mind off it for a sec, the problem probably staring at you right in the face.

It could be worse though, you could be trying to bridge a wire to itself

that is the same thing that happend to me and a parts max. the hood hinge was bent . i had to sit on it to make it close, that is after we tired to bend it. lolz. i was madd as hell and i same damn and i just sat on it and down it went. i actually just jumped and butt slammed it down.. it worked, and it opened and closed properly. also check the hood struts. if they arent installed correctly they can make it hard if not possible to close it .
