remove them or paint??

remove them or paint??

my car is gold and the side moldings got rust from the previous owner...anyone ever removed them or repainted them (post pics)...i think they will look nice if i removed them but let me know what u guys think..

and if i should remove them how do i do that?

the side mouldings are plastic, are you sure you mean the side mouldings

they're plastic... orange plastic. after a while, the paint just dissappears on them. happens most with gold and silver paint. they turn an ugly rust color. you can either repaint or remove them. easier to repaint, but you better hope the paint matches.

I've had them taken off, was easy to remove the glue. Went to a body shop & the guy charged me $10 to use a soft drill bit tool to remove the glue. Check my site to see how it looks.

yeah am scared of repainting it and they paint dont match so i think its better to take them off...i like the way it looks off..i think thats wat am gonna do thanks
