Take a look at my Max!
Hey, I figured out how to get my pics in! Tell me what you think. Funny story...these aren't great pictures and will replace soon. The funny part is that I made them with a throw-away camera. It was a camera I got in the mail from Chrylser promoting their new Sebring. Poetic justice, eh??

Thanks for the remarks!
...appreciate the feedback on the car. And I really didn't think these pictures were all that great. And that is a reflection on the side...nothing fancy done there!.
The merlot does look nice, and in these shots, the car was dirty. What I wish you could see better was the gold badging. The sun was so bright, it didn't show all that well. And you are right...you don't see many merlots at all. Another reason I went with the color. Also, any of you that have followed my posts know that I've complained about paint chips. As a result, I've added the hood cover (from LeBra, i.e., http://www.saddleman.com). The full bra won't fit (has to be custom made and they NEED REQUESTS in order to put into production). BUT I WILL TELL YOU that the Nissan Bra did not look near this good, and I couldn't even get it on the care...had to return it which was the best thing in the end. And this piece was cheaper @ $40 than buying the entire Nissan nose mask kit @ $110.
To load these pictures, I first had them developed at Walgreens and used the AOL service, i.e., Walgreens sent them to my aol account. from there, I just saved them, clicked on "properties" and cut and pasted the url address into my signature within my profile in this forum, using the suffix. At first, they were small, so what I had to do was view the full picture in my AOL You've Got Pictures application. Once I re-did that, they came back this size in my sig. I was pretty pleased that I figured that out, cause there were no instructions on how to do it.
The coolest thing is that AOL service on pictures. It has a small price tag ($6), but the pics are on AOL before they were at the store!
Well, enough said. As you can see, there are no mods...probably all I'll do is add features like tint, window deflectors, etc. I'll let the rest of you experiment! Thanks! srm

nice car......man...
I saw one of these in the same color last night at my local dealer looks real good man you have a very good start in a car body kit and everything.....and I know this is the 5th gen section and I have a 4th gen,but ohh well I had to comment....
Color of interior
The interior color is black leather (perforated). Here is a pretty decent shot, actually two:

Interesting that the Maxima "black" is more like charcoal. My Lex is black, real black and wish the max were more true to the shade, but hey, I'm not really complaining. It is a very comfortable and cozy interior, and I love the perforeated leather.

to AcMax re: shipping
The cost of the hood protector, part #45632-01, was $42.99 and shipping was $5.00. My total was $47.99. I ordered on Saturday, and I had it on Wednesday!
The Nissan Nose Mask did not fit the hood, at all. I thought it was an Altima hood cover in the kit by mistake. They just told me it was "..a tight fit" Man, the hooks, were not even lining up at all. And, the LeBra mask just looks much higher quality, and the installation was great, it is a tight fit, and doesn't flap at all! The hood cover on my 93 Max flapped so much, I had to add velcro and all kinds of fixes.
Saddleman's web site is http://www.saddleman.com. The number is 435-752-1000.
Thanks for the compliments on the car! It's all stock, except the hood cover! srm

I did not order the car. I configured it via the Nissan web site, and through autoweb, got connected to a local dealer who performed a search for me. The car was found in Kentucky (I live in Tennessee). It's just the stock Merlot. It has a good polish on it, and was actually dirty when I took these pics.
Depending on the lighting, it can either look real red, or reddish brown, or burgundy. I love the color, and was taken with it when I first saw it. And, the gold badging, which does not show up well in these pics, looks great.
You are right, though, there are not many on the road. I've seen one other, a GLE.
thanks for the compliments. And, I would have taken frost or black leather, but I prefer the black.
