Advice - Grille & Security Indicator

I have a 01 AE, Gray/L. I want to do something to make the grille look more classy, than just a hole in the front. The Gle and Gxe's have better ones.
Did anyone ever open the piece where the clock and security Indicator is. If so can you please tell me how to.
