I have a 1996 Maxima GLE which was purchased new in VA. How do I know if I need a cali or fed spec Y PIPE?

Also, what recommendations do you have as to what BRAND i should purchase? and also from WHERE shoud i order it for a fair price?

do u think ill still pass VA emissions with this on? and is the gain noticed at seat of pants, bc i dont go to the track. thanks guys!
