How much of a difference when i get new KNOCK SENSOR

Bad knock sensor owns me...Had it for a long time...so long, I dont remember what my car was like before then... what kind of difference will i see upon the installation of a new sensor?

I replaced it on my car recently. It was very well worth the money, the time and the bloody knuckles...

HAHAHAHA, I did the same thing when I changed my O2 sensor, LOL...I HAD it cooled down, and then i needed a socket, so i had to run downtown and when i got home...OW OW OW

A engine lights come on usually than you go run the diagnostics test and than it tells you what the problem is. For my knock sensor I didn't get a engine light just one day in auto's I chose to hook it up and boom it came up. Damn computer.

The knock sensor code WILL NOT cause the Check Enigne Light to come one...ever...

Happened to my friend,got the light, hooked it up and all we got is a bad knock sensor. By mistake.... I think so.

check your codes on the ecu if it is an 0304 then its the KS reset the ecu and check in a few days if it returns then go and get a new KS

This was a while back, and we did that and it did turn out to be the knock sensor but the second time around the light didn't come on but it was still the knock sensor. So I guess the light came up by mistake but it's not important

i just bought a new knock sensor tonight for 100$... CDN... such a cool deal! heh

I'm installing it as soon as i can!!! i'm hoping i see a major difference.... cause right now, i'm getting terrible performance... and the ecu is saying my KS is out to lunch.

i am egttin the same code +Maf, i know the knock sensor is forereal but the maf flow one goes away at times, i want to change mines bad cause i raced my boys 2k max and i lost but i used to smoke him, bacicly i lost by about 1 1/2 car lenths and thats how much i used to beat him by, so if you think about it, it does do alot.

i had a blow o2, then 0304 showed up...i fixed the o2, reset, and now when i check it, the 0304 still shows up, there is no light, but its there!
Knock sensors dont cause a light

I got the 0304 KS and the 02 sensor error a while back ago. It feels like driving a Honda civic. After replacing the 02 and KS, I can easily waste the regular stock civic. I got back the power from the 1000 to 2500 rpm range.
