I live in Central NJ, I'm not sure about Maxima statistics here, but Integras, Civics, etc forget about it you might as well strap a dog. I have what I can, alarm etc, but sometimes am paranoid, how bout' you other guys? Do Maximas get stolen/vandalized a lot?

 

I live in houston. I'd be ****ed if someone ****ed my **** up. And prolly kill them. So Yes I do worry.. but if its gunna happen.. plz happen when i can catch them..

 

im more worried about it getting hit while parked and door dings and scratches rather than it getting stolen or broken into

this is why i park at the furthest spot in the lot...hoping that no one will park beside me.

 

my baby got vandalized right in my own driveway, someone took a baseball bat and firmly planted it in my headlights and my hood. over 500 dollars in damamge!!! anyway it turned out to be a string of vandalisims from someone who held a grudge with the guys in the fire department a lot of the cars got messed up inculding one beutiful 3000gt(the owners and a@@ but its still a hot car) so yes id say i worry about my car a lot. evnough that id install security cameras in my house neway

 

wishful thinking... I do this also, but it didn't stop some @ss to swipe my driver side bumper & fender and run away...

I don't worry about my car. At all. If something happens to it, something happens to it.

 

Hahaha, my girlfriend gets annoyed at how much I worry about my max. Being stollen/vandalized, and when I park at the furthest spot in the parking lot because of dings. but she lives in a more urban area of town so when I stay at her place I occasionally check on my baby to see if its doing ok. Nobody understands us... I worry about my rims mostly because the max's have a pretty high theft rate here because everyone has rice, and they want a real car. My dad once got a ding in his BMW from another car in the lot, and brutally kicked in the other guys door.

 

its just something ya have to live with, a month ago some kids shot my car up with a pellet gun, had to get the whole thing painted and it could happen again tomorrow.

 

Sounds like Pop's is a tad immature and could use some anger management classes. Its just a car!

 

why worry about your max if someone want to steal it bad enough thier going to get it. so don`t stress over it. take a nice big pufff plus it is just a nissan worry if you have something worth a hell of a lot moore $$$$ whats 10-30 grand. not enough to stress about J.M.O.

 

You should never worry about the things you can't control. I park my car at the end of the parking lot and try to avoid dings, but some things you can't avoid. You're right it's just a car!

 

It may just be a car, but it's something you should take pride in. Im very lucky to own a max at 16 years old, and I take really good car of it whenever I can. Take pride in what you have, even if it is beat up.

Everyday...but then again if it's meant to get stolen ...it is meant to get stolen.

 

I park my car in my driveway, but have a security camera pointed down right on my car AND recording every second of the day. I also use the viper 550esp and ALWAYS put the club on my car. Although the club is basically useless, its more of a cosmetic thing where theives might just look the other way.

I also never park in any shady places. Dunno, im a bit overprotective

 

Would putting stickers on your window from INJEN/PROGRESS/STILLEN be considered a bad thing because of theives and vandalizers?

 

Door dings are the worse... I just got one on my door the other, worse of all it was from another Maxima owner I always park at the end of the parking lot by myself by a tree and I reverse park. Anyways this other Max decides to park next me and is parked all close.. I look at my door and boom a ding right there. Not that bad but still.

 

Damn real, I'm worried about these trailer trash that won the lottery and moved next to me. White people steal alot per capita. and most dont get caught. :-)

you know that was the rudest thing you could have said and you can't get mad at anyone who comments on it. maybe if you get to know your neighbors you might find out that they just might be the ones who will help you protect your car so the next time you want to bash on a particular race remember that there is other races that is on the forum and we will get offended and let you know.

now that is out of the way. something that I haven't done yet but will love to do is when I see someone trying to break in my car unlock the doors for them so they wont ruin the locks and then so they wont have to rip my steering column up to start the car start it up for them then after they think that the car is ready to go and they have the magic touch shut the car off lock the doors roll the front windows down turn on the inside light and sound the alarm all while the police is pulling up to arrest them.

 

What are the chances of that happening? Plus cops are never there when you need them

true but if it does by the time i get through playing with their mind i will get the enjoyment of them thinking the car is possessed or something and if the police don't show up i'll just call my boss and have her have a talk with the deputy chief since he is on our board.

 

I've had my car stolen twice, the first time wasnt that bad, just took it for a joyride...but the second time, a month ago, they did over 4 grand in damage, and stripped every aftermarket part off of it...around 4 grands worth...Im thinking it could be the same *******s because it ended up basically in the same area...boy would love to get my hands on them

Damn thieves! Why don't they take my car so I can get a 97-99 But if they do, then my insurance will go high as hell since I'm 17 I'll just stick with this and get a front (and maybe a rear) end conversion

 

I got my car keyed, probably by these skater as$ white kids near work -- and I'm white! Plus, they couldn't key up my hood -- where acid rain and love bugs have messed me up -- so I could get a new paint job covered by insurance on my hood, but they keyed my door where nothing was wrong. And they kicked it, so there was a dent, and my insurance company called it collission rather than coprehensive, and I had a deductible.

Stupid skater punks.

Plus I am the only white college guy for about four blocks from where I live. None of my black neighbors have keyed my car... but they do come over and see how everyone over here is doing sometimes... wonder what that says about black neighbors...

 

same **** heppened to me I had a brand new paint job with no dings in matter of 2 months someone scrached my rear bumeper (just had it repainted) and another car parked close and hit my door leaving a ding that costs $550 to remove
