This could be Stupid Question, I couldn't do a search, it didn't work. I like to know if i can swap out my engine with 2000 maxima. Since it has more Horsepower then the 99 maxima. If that is possible do i need a new ECU or anything else????

 

will cost too much money it is not worth it. Just get Supercharger or turbo.

 

The extra hp do not come from the engine.

um a 200 motor isnt worth the gain, do a 2k3 swap with 265hp

 

The extra power comes from an improved intake manifold and exhaust system as well as a hotter camshaft profile. Although the exhaust can always be swapped out for an aftermarket one, the MEVI isn't nearly as efficient as the DE-K's VI and replacing cams is too dam expensive. Oh yea, it wouldn't be worth it.

i swapped the eng in my wfs 96 max which had like a mill miles on it with a 2000. But i used 96 intake, ecm, harness etc.

Um BS. What hood did you use? How did you get it to fit? Did you cut into the firewall???

I don't know if I would call BS on him... isn't the block the same for 95-01? The only problem is the taller intake manifold, and if he used the manifold off the 96 wouldn't it fit? he only appears to have used the block and put all the other engine components on from the 96. But I could be very wrong... just guessing.

What the hell would be the point of swapping in a 5G 3.0 in there and using the 4G USIM?? A lot of the extra power comes from the VI. That's taking 2 steps forward and three steps back. I hope you plan on somehow fitting the 5G manifold under that hood or else you just wasted a whole lotta money. Wait. Why am I talking like I believe you??
