H+R SPRINGS info

i tried the search but would not allow me to so please no flames.
i just purchased the h+r springs, i remeber reading somewhere that the best shock strut combo was the blues up front and the agx`s in the back. if someone can forward me where i have to put the plastic wrap around the springs so i get no noise and no clunks that would be cool and also the other suspension parts i need to replace. i want to get this done soon thanks

Just re-use the OEM spring wrap. If you put it all together correctly, you wont get any noise. I've had 4 different aftermarket spring/strut combos and never had any suspension noise.

That was njmaxseltd. Then again a few days ago he installed Illuminas and is now having fun all over again because he believes it's much better than his old setup of Blues/AGX.

I reused my OEM spring wrap and parts with no problems.

Moral of the story: Go for some Illuminas.

That's my plan for the front struts.

Blues up front with AGX's in the rear ride great.

Illuminas up front with AGX's in the rear ride even better. My car feel like our 330 does on the road. Took me 2.5 years to figure out the right setup, but I finally have it.

I did 3 installs at the shop today. While some of the guys were having a mini meet in front I handed them the keys to my car. Watch for their post, they were both amazed that a lowered Maxima could ride that good.

You previous threads convinced me to make this change in the near future. I have found your suspension posts to be very informative and helpful, thanks. I will be going with the Illuminas up front and keep the AGX's in the back so that I can keep the ability to adjust the suspension. I like the handling of my AGX's but am not too thrilled with their inability to absorb road imperfections properly while driving around town.
