I just noticed there's a TSB out for the rear deck rattling for the 2k4 but not for us lowly 5th gens. It's NTB03-066. Looks like they just stick urethane pads under the shelf. Bah, and I was hoping to get my lazy azz out of fixing it myself.

Given the # of complaints from 5th gen owners, you'd think they would've fixed it before the 2k4's rolled out of the factory

Honestly, I can't believe that Nissan allows this to go on year after year. How many model years in a row have had rear deck rattling problems...at least 4 right? Now here's the sad part...I spent $60 on dynamat, covered the rear deck and completely fixed the rattling and still had 1 whole piece of dynamat left over. So I paid $60 retail to fix it. I would have to figure that buying in bulk Nissan could fix these rattling problems before the cars leave the factory for $40 or less per car. But for some reason they choose not to.
