Upgrading Radio, question about Steering Controls

Hi guys,

I'm looking to put a new deck into my 01 SE. I took this deck from another 01 Max (Aftermarket deck), and want to still have the option of the steering wheel controls. What do I have to use to achieve this?

Thanks in advance.

You need this add on device called CANBUS.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/PAC-SWI-CAN2-Steering-Wheel-Control-Add-on-Adapter-CANBUS-to-Voltage-Converter-/271913199652?hash=item3f4f4a2824&vxp=mtr
You need to make sure that the head unit states that it has the steering wheel control feature built in.

If you are unsure ask the seller (if on ebay or amazon.) If you know that the headunit you want to buy has this capability, ask the seller if they have a canbus unit they sell.

I have not ever done this but I know that this is how you do it.

welcome!
