Limited slip means there can be only so much difference between the speeds of the wheels on either side of the car. There's plenty of slip for going around a turn, but a limited slip differential won't allow one wheel to spin while the other just sits there.

how do you know if a 5th gen SE is equipped with lsd or not? besides doing wheelspin tests?

there are/were two types of lsd from nissan. one came on 01 anniversary models on both transmissions and the other is a heliptical (sp?) unit on some 2k2-2k3. im not up as to the difference between the two but i know i can leave two burn marks instead of one with mine and its real nice being about to hit it coming out of the corner and barely losing any traction.

From what I have found out the 6-speeds with the sport aluminum pedals came with the LSD package: (yes, my garage is messy....)
