puttin together an intake

So how easy is it? I did it for my 85 MR2 a while ago using a K&N filter, an adapter to my AFM (found on later MR2s in a salvage yard), and some 2" PlumbQuick from Home Depot. Has anyone tried to do similar things? I realize it is a little more complicated on a 2000 Maxima compared to a 85 MR2. I saw the posts for the mods to the stock box, so I was trying to go the next step.
Thanks,
JimL

For a simple cheap intake all you need is a 3" filter and a MAF adaptor, then attach both at the MAF sensor.
