Auto dies out when cold
Auto dies out when cold
My friend has a 99 GXE auto, and everytime he doesn't warm up his car, the engine dies out when he puts it into drive. If he lets it warm up for like 3 minutes then everything is fine. Anyone know what's wrong with it?
Thanks
Thanks
Re: Auto dies out when cold
He has a dirty IACV (Idle Air Control Valve) and TB (Throttle Body).
Clean them out, check all vacuum lines, and make sure the PCV valve is clean too.
You should also check for ECU error codes, to see if you have a bad TPS (Throttle Position Sensor).
