hmmmm

well if you're talking about the MAF sensor, then that definately needs to be plugged in. If you didn't disconnect your battery before taking your intake apart, then you will probably have to connect the sensor back... disconnect the battery, wait some time (maybe a couple hours) and reconnect the battery and hope that resetted the ECU.

I'd recommend putting the intake back if you don't know what you're doing...

If you're talking about the temperature sensor (looks like a resistor in a 'u' shaped plastic piece) then just zip tie it somewhere handy, do the same with the 'other' sensor (boost?). For the MAF sensor you must disconnect the battery then reinstall the sensor in its receptacle, then reset your ECU. Get those instructions online or look in your Haynes manual.
Cheers,
Matt

o haha, well removing that really doesn't help you... maybe make it look like you have more space.

I think yo can just leave the sensor there... isn't it attached to that metal bracket?

That's the boost sensor. It detects atmospheric pressure. Just zip-tie it somewhere (mine's tied to my battery cable)

So you're removing the pipes now? Is the Maxima your 2nd car?

mine is zip tied and everything is working great. I just zip tied to the other wires next to it. Or maybe it was the little metal bracket that holds the connectors. i forget, just pick a spot.

I don't understand this statement. You're getting the injen CAI in a few days...you're making room for it now?

That sensor should not trip the CEL. Did you start your car w/o the MAF sensor plugged in? Is your MAF sensor plugged in now?

Not right to tell a "Maxima Fanatic" this, but read the stickies!!!
